Sven’s journey hasn’t been easy. He arrived at the shelter in December of 2023, severely injured after being hit by a car. With the dedication of our medical team and the support of staff and volunteers, Sven recovered over several months. Though he was briefly adopted, he was returned to the shelter, where he continues to receive the best care possible. His resilience and joyful spirit have made him a favorite among those who meet him.

Then there’s Cranberry, who has been with us for nearly a year. Surrendered in March 2024, she has faced significant health challenges, including ear infections, facial swelling, and a major knee surgery in August. Through it all, Cranberry has shown incredible resilience, supported every step of the way by our dedicated staff and volunteers as they work to help her find a loving home.

These pets—and so many others like them—deserve more than a place to wait. They deserve a future filled with love, comfort, and the dignity of a family who treasures them. But to get there, they need time, care, and the resources to thrive while they’re here. That’s where you come in.
